Facility Leader: Orlando Rodriguez, Warden
Orlando Rodriguez was named warden at Citrus County Detention Facility in April 2022. Previously, he served as warden at Elizabeth Detention Center. Rodriguez joined CoreCivic in 1995 as assistant warden at the formerly CoreCivic-operated Guayama Correctional Center. He also served in leadership roles at Ponce Adult Correctional Facility, McRae Correctional Facility, Gadsden Correctional Facility, Bay County Jail and Hernando County Jail. Rodriguez later joined the Operations team at CoreCivic's Facility Support Center as an assistant warden deployed for special assignments. Before joining CoreCivic, Rodriguez worked for the U.S. District Court as assistant court monitor for the District of Puerto Rico and as a special assistant with the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation of Puerto Rico. Rodriguez served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserve as a member of the Military Police Corps.
Rodriguez holds a juris doctor degree from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
